possessed LCD pixels
ok, so I had to buy a new monitor. After i brought it home I knew it was acting a little strange. It'd turn off on me for a few seconds, then back on so I figure must be a glitchy monitor, i'll return it tomorrow. Turn off monitor & computer, time for bed. Later that night i woke up cause there was a light flash and I thought it was lightning, went back to sleep.Even later, i woke up again, this time i see my monitor is turned on and the screen is pure white. Ooooo...k. Its in the middle of the night and completely dark in my room except for my monitor, which has mysteriously turned on by itself. I start thinking of stuff like ' The Ring ' I better start taking pictures so I can explain this to circuit city when I bring them back the monitor...
Then the monitor starts bleeding black! The black was fluid like, entering the screen from the sides and seeping its way throughout the monitor.
At this point, i thought it would blow up or something if I didnt turn it off so I push the power button. . . No change o.O
push it again! no change (((o.O))) !!
again! it turns off... whew. (-. -;)a
Ahhhhhhhhhhh it starts blinking all crazy like a strobe light !!! WTF is going on?!! this is some F'*d up shit!! Gotta pull the power cord, pull the power cord phil!!! After I pull the power cord, the monitor continues to strobe for a few seconds before the life in it fades away... So I leave the monitor there, unplugged and unattached. I think, Perhaps i'll perform an exorcism in the morning, but now its time for me to go back to sleep.

Wow... scary. I wonder if it could've been a virus trying to break your monitor by trying to render things in a weird way...
nah, i exchanged it for another monitor. The new one works fine. It was definately a hardware defect.
